In 2008, in an area of 105103.45 yd2 and based on the principles of classic architecture, was built the University Cultural Complex, unique in its kind as it maintains an integrating concept in various areas devoted to art, culture and academics, even more remarkable because it is a Public University, the pride and bulwark of the state of Puebla.

Created to promote and disseminate art and culture and integrate the scientific and technological knowledge of the university community has established itself as an area of excellence in art and culture and the arts. In BUAP Cultural Complex is also the Bar LA PEÑA UNIVERSITARIA, trying to salvage the style of the 70's and 80's were meeting places where lovers of art, culture and art forms unconventional. The music playing was mainly Latin American folk, protest songs and sing what was called again giving rise to what is now known as trova. The concept of "traditional rock" there is no preferential VIP areas but who likes art is installed in the place that you want and enjoy the shows accompanied by a drink or a glass of wine.
