Atlixco de las Flores, as they call friends and strangers, kept their traditions and customs.

Each year in September, the town showcases the best of its production through its regional fair, and the magic of her dances, through the "Huey Atlixcayotl, the beauty of its flowers, the varied cuisine of the region and everything a dynamic and progressive municipality provides for development of their state and country.

On 5 May 1988, the Puebla state government by decree declared the city of Atlixco, Monumental Typical Zone.
